Connecting Your Social Media Accounts

Supported platforms

ContentRyte's Social Pilot supports 7 platforms via OAuth:

• Facebook (Pages)
• Instagram (Business / Creator accounts)
• Twitter / X
• LinkedIn (Personal profiles + Company pages)
• Pinterest (Business)
• YouTube (channels)
• WhatsApp Business (Cloud API)

Connecting an account

1. Sidebar → Social → Accounts → + Connect Account
2. Pick the platform
3. You'll be redirected to the platform's OAuth consent screen
4. Grant the requested permissions (post on your behalf, read pages, etc.)
5. After approval, you'll be redirected back to ContentRyte with the connection saved

Multiple accounts per platform

You can connect multiple accounts per platform (e.g., 3 Instagram accounts for different brands). All show up in the Accounts list with active/inactive toggles.

Token expiry

Most social platforms issue tokens that expire (typically 60–90 days). ContentRyte automatically refreshes tokens before they expire when possible. If a refresh fails:

• The account is marked Disconnected on the Accounts page
• You'll get an email notification
• Just click Reconnect and re-grant permissions

Permissions required

Each platform's OAuth scope:

• Facebook: pages_show_list, pages_manage_posts, pages_manage_metadata
• Instagram: instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish
• LinkedIn: w_member_social, r_organization_admin, w_organization_social
• Twitter: tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, offline.access
